Millburn teams sweep the board at UHI Climate summit schools competition

Three teams from Milburn Academy took the three top prizes in the UHI Climate Summit ‘ If I could change one small thing’ competition for schools.  

Runners up

eTom aGen  was a design  for a rotating door which generated electricity - over 56 million joules in a year from a building the size of the new school building.  Avibesh was grilled by his two teammates after a Dragon’s Den style pitch.

Our ideas was a short powerpoint including many ideas on sustainability covered in first year Science at Millburn.

The winning team was Five small things One big difference which built on the climate challenge fund  project in S1.  The five girls acted out a discussion at a school canteen table about saving energy using smart energy meters.
