Welcome to the Global Dimension, the website for developing global citizens.

Here you will find resources for loan, support for classroom topics and CPD opportunities for teachers looking to take a global approach to addressing the four capacities of the Curriculum for Excellence.

Development Education is an active learning process that aims to:

  • enable people to understand the links between their own lives and those of people throughout the world

  • increase the understanding of the economic, social, political and environmental forces that shape our lives

  • develop skills, attitudes and values that enable people to work together to bring about change and take control of their own lives

  • contribute to the development of a more just and more sustainable world, in which power and resources are more equitably shared. PicoSearch
